Upper Yosemite Falls

Description: The upper yosemite falls trail offers challenging sections, diversity, great views and an overall terrific experience. I know a lot of people consider Half Dome, Mt. Whitney, or sections of the John Muir trail as the best trails in the state of California, but in my opinion Upper Yosemite falls tops them all. This is the best hike in California for hikers of all skill levels. The trailhead starts at the legendary Camp 4 campground  (shuttle bus stop #7). You will start going up a section of switchbacks through a forest area. After passing columbia rock you will find a flat section of the trail that will reveal the fall for the first time. The amount of mist hitting you will increase as you approach the start of the last switchback section. This last series of switchbacks before the summit get really steep, and are the most difficult part of the trail.
